Golden Circle on day 1
Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss — easy intro day from Reykjavik.
South Coast waterfalls
Seljalandsfoss (walk behind it), Skógafoss, the Reynisfjara black-sand beach.
Glacier lagoon
Jökulsárlón — icebergs floating to the sea, beach littered with diamonds of ice.
East Fjords + Lake Mývatn
Quietest stretch of the loop. Fewer tourists, dramatic scenery.

Arrive Reykjavik
Pick up rental, settle into city hotel. Optional Blue Lagoon if early arrival.

Golden Circle → Vík
Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss. Drive to South Coast, overnight in Vík.

South Coast → Höfn
Reynisfjara black-sand beach, Skaftafell glacier hike, Jökulsárlón ice lagoon.

East Fjords → Egilsstaðir
Long but spectacular drive through quiet fjord country.

Lake Mývatn area
Pseudocraters, Dimmuborgir lava field, geothermal Nature Baths.

Mývatn → Akureyri
Goðafoss waterfall en route. Akureyri is Iceland's charming northern town.

West coast → Reykjavik
Long drive back via the Snæfellsnes peninsula or direct via Borgarnes.

Blue Lagoon + fly home
Pre-flight soak at Blue Lagoon, drop the rental at Keflavik, fly out.
